Girl Under Water

A Memoir

Synopsis
Excerpt
Dedication

Moi-mem: I water myself.

Memoir writing is very Aquarian.

Aquarius, the water-bearer
pours the water
back from a container
into the free-flowing stream.

Mēm in Hebrew means water
Moi is French for me
Mem-moi: water me
Moi-mem: I water myself.

How do you know
—until you water yourself
—if you can bear it?

(Betrayal is sacred when the heart can encompass the whole.)

Lovely painting. Lovely thought. I notice the date on the painting is 1987. Sometimes we see it first and can only name it later.

Thank you, Shirley. Yes, sometimes my paintings undergo numerous name changes – my memoir has as well! Thank you so much for your comment!
